I started Marietta’s beginner bootcamp class in February 2012. I was fed up with trying to workout on my own and struggling to keep myself motivated. After the first class I wondered what the heck I had gotten myself in to! I felt muscles I did not think I had, but I refused to quit! It was hard, but after that first month, I had lost real measurable inches! In just ONE MONTH!!! I moved into her Fitness Bootcamp class the next month, and have been hooked ever since!! I did not drastically change my eating habits since I had never eaten poorly. I just focused on eating REAL food (not processed) and proper portions. As I watched what I put into my body along with the workouts I began to see dramatic results quickly! Her workouts can be intense, but you will feel and see results very quickly! The workout and camaraderie in the classes helped my through a difficult time in my life as well…it was a great way to work through frustrations. I have lost about 35 pounds over the months and kept them off just by eating real and taking her classes twice a week. I have gone from a size 14 to a size 8 and lost a total of 18.5 inches! (Marietta measures 3 areas: arms, waist, hips only) I can only highly recommend her classes and her wisdom and suggestions fully. I owe being able to go shopping for smaller clothes to her!

It’s a new year and it’s never too late to make changes and get your life back! At the end of February 2013, I decided to make that change. I didn’t even know where to start. I had high blood pressure and had trouble with my knees from carrying so much weight around on my body. I had poor eating habit and never exercised. I also did not have any self esteem and I was so depressed about letting myself to get into that condition . On March 8th 2013 I decided to join the Metabolic Research Center in Little Rock. They taught me how to eat the right way by eating meals with the perfect protein to carbs to veggie ratios and in the right portions. They also taught me how important it is to drink lots of water and exercise and that by doing all these things consistently, the benefits will eventually pay off!! When I first started exercising in March of last year, I could barely walk on a treadmill at 3.5 mph with out being out of breath but after 3 months I was bored and started to look for other workouts. I kept seeing different people talk on Facebook about this great bootcamp that was instructed by Marietta McClure so I decided I would check it out. I signed up for the beginners bootcamp in June. By the end of that first month I could tell I had gotten so much stronger and I started seeing dramatic results in myself. Getting toned, gaining muscle, and losing lots of inches. I did the beginners bootcamp for 5 months and then moved up to the fitness level bootcamp! I currently do the fitness bootcamp 2 days a week and then my own cardio workout 3 other days a week. I am hooked! I push myself hard in class cause I know all the sweating and hard work will pay off! This month I am going to turn it up a notch and try out the intervals class. I still have a little ways to go but I know that I did not gain all that weight overnight and I won’t lose it overnight either. With hard work and dedication I am becoming the person I want to be! This week I am turning 42 and over the last 10 months I have lost 74 lbs. and 70 ½ inches (measuring neck, arms, bust, waist, hips, thighs, calfs, ankles). I was a size 18 and now I am currently a size 8! I truly believe it is never too late and you are never too old to start. One year from now, you will be happy you that you started today. I have gained back my self esteem and I feel more energetic than I have felt in years! I’m very thankful to Marietta and MRC for helping me get my life back and learn to live a healthier lifestyle and also for making it so much fun to shop again! I highly recommend McClure Fitness and their classes if you want to see REAL results!

Worked out 2 days a week at McClure Fitness for all around fitness and to push myself. Received encouragement from others in class. Started out in the beginner Bootcamp and then moved up to the fitness Bootcamp.
Worked cardio and light weights 3 days a week on my own. For 1hour to 1-1/2 per day. I’m 54 years old and started at 300 lbs.
Lost 61 pounds in 4 months. Still have plenty to go! See you at the gym!
Breakfast- protein shake
Lunch – various salads, with light dressings , but always some grilled meat, added.
Dinners – grilled chicken, or fish, with fresh vegetables, once or twice a month a 6 ounce steak to reward myself.
Snacks- fruit, always fresh! apples, oranges, grapes. Never packaged processed snacks.
Drinks- lots of water, unsweet tea, a few diet sodas for rewards
Lots of accountability; if you are not ready to be accountable, you are not ready to lose!!
1) My doctor agreed to allow me to walk in once a week to weigh, not to see her but for aid to record and report.
2) Found a friend and a family member that kept things private yet encouraged me as I went along.
